Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy

Michael Morris directs the fourth Bridget Jones film, from Helen Fielding's 2013 novel, in which the widowed Bridget (Renée Zellweger) returns to work and dating with the help of her old flame Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant); Colin Firth appears as the late Mark Darcy, with Chiwetel Ejiofor as the science teacher Scott Walliker and Leo Woodall as the younger Roxster. Universal released it in the United Kingdom on 13 February 2025, the day it reached Peacock in the United States. (Wikipedia)

Watches

Panerai Luminor
Worn by Hugh Grant as Daniel Cleaver. Costume designer Molly Emma Rowe told Esquire UK that Cleaver, who wore a Luminor Marina in Bridget Jones's Diary, now wears two 44 mm Panerai Luminors, an 8 Giorni with a black dial and a Blue Mare with a blue dial: "Panerai is a bit of an insider choice... As he's got older, and got a bit more money, he's looking for things which aren't mainstream." The family page is linked because the source names the two models but no references. (Esquire UK)

Breitling Premier B01 Chronograph
Worn by Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scott Walliker. Costume designer Molly Emma Rowe told Esquire UK that Mr Walliker, the teacher at Bridget's children's school, "is a Breitling chronograph man", seen in a 42 mm Premier B01 with a black dial: "They have a nice practicality to them... He's a gentleman of a certain age. He doesn't have children. He doesn't have a wife. So maybe he's bought himself a couple of nice watches along the way." The magazine names model and size but no reference, so the model page is linked. (Esquire UK)

Breitling Premier
Worn by Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scott Walliker. Walliker's second Breitling, per costume designer Molly Emma Rowe's account to Esquire UK, is a 40 mm gold Premier B09, worn alongside his black-dial B01; Rowe, noting that he is seen on an outward-bound trip, says the chronographs' practicality "kind of grounds him as being a more of a practical guy". No reference or scene is given, and the catalog carries no B09 page, so the Premier family page is linked. (Esquire UK)

Omega De Ville
Worn by Colin Firth as Mark Darcy. Mark Darcy, dead before the film opens and seen as a ghost in Bridget's imagination and in flashbacks, wears his Omega De Ville, which Esquire UK describes as a time-and-date dress model with Roman numerals, small seconds and a power-reserve indicator at 6 o'clock, on a leather strap; costume designer Molly Emma Rowe confirms the strap and says the steel, blue-dialled watch Bridget receives in the box of his effects was a hired "no brand" prop, not the Omega. No reference is given, so the family page is linked. (Esquire UK)
