This "Patek Philippe" is a fake: a counterfeit or homage prop built to resemble a genuine Patek Philippe, not an authentic example of the Geneva manufacture's work. It imitates the Nautilus, echoing that model's rounded-octagonal bezel, integrated bracelet and horizontally embossed dial, in the vein of the endlessly copied reference 5711. Because it is a replica, its real movement, materials and dimensions are simply whatever unbranded parts the counterfeiter used, and none of the genuine article's calibre, precious-metal construction or specifications can honestly be credited to it. It stands in as a luxury-watch look-alike: the visual impression of high horology without any of the substance. (Wristcheck)
