Suunto Core
More actions
The Suunto Core is Suunto's digital ABC outdoor-watch family, combining an altimeter, barometer and compass with weather information in a 49.1 mm composite case. Its matrix display and electro-luminescent backlight sit behind a mineral crystal, while the Core line's elastomer strap and four-button layout make its broad, round silhouette readily recognizable even when a scene cannot resolve a colourway or reference. The pictured All Black is a representative Core execution. (Suunto)
Harrison Ford's CIA handler Max Drummer wears one in The Expendables 3 while flying the rescue helicopter; Heritage Auctions sold the screen-worn watch in 2014 as a "Suunto Core watch" that is "All black with rubber wrist band", which matches the All Black execution without the lot naming a reference.
