The Tissot T-Touch is the multifunction watch Tissot launched in 1999 as the first wristwatch operated by touching its crystal. Arming the system with the central crown and then tapping zones on the sapphire glass switches the hands and the digital display between a compass, an altimeter, a barometer, a thermometer, an alarm and a chronograph, so one dial serves six functions without a bank of pushers. This reference is a 42 mm polished titanium case with an anti-glare sapphire crystal, an analog-digital ETA quartz movement and 30 metres of water resistance. The touch crystal came out of Swatch Group research patented in the mid-1990s, and reached wrists years before touchscreens were ordinary. (RightTime, CrazyWatches)
