Zodiac watch
Photo: Cool Vintage Watches (representative 1960s Sea Wolf, chosen because the emblem on its dial is the point of the cataloged mention)
A Zodiac watch is a watch from the Swiss maker founded by Ariste Calame in Le Locle in 1882, best known for the 1953 Sea Wolf dive watch and for the emblem printed on its dials, a circle quartered by a cross whose arms run past the rim. (Wikipedia; Zodiac) That emblem is the symbol the Zodiac Killer signed his letters with, which is why suspect Arthur Leigh Allen's Zodiac Sea Wolf figures in David Fincher's Zodiac and why a copycat killer leaves a Zodiac watch on a victim in David Baldacci's Hour Game, where the brand is named and no model is.
