The Hamilton Khaki Field is the brand's line of military-styled field watches, built on the plain, high-legibility dials Hamilton supplied to the US armed forces from the First World War onward; the company halted consumer production during the Second World War to make more than a million timepieces for the military, and has marketed the resulting look to civilians ever since. The modern collection is broad, running from quartz and hand-wound models in 33 and 38 mm through automatics at 38, 41 and 42 mm. The 38 mm Khaki Field Auto, reference H70455560, is representative: a stainless steel case 11 mm thick, sapphire crystal, 100 m water resistance, and the H-10 automatic caliber with a Nivachron balance spring and an 80-hour power reserve.
