The Heuer Autavia is the chronograph line Heuer named for automobiles and aviation, a name first used on its dashboard timers of 1933 and revived in 1962 for a wristwatch with a rotating bezel and a black dial with contrasting registers, first on the manual-wind Valjoux 72 and 92 and from 1969 on the automatic Calibre 11 in a larger cushion case, the generation of the plain-bezel Heuer Autavia 1163, the hour-and-minute-bezel Heuer Autavia 1163 MH and the tachymeter-bezel Heuer Autavia 1163 T named for the racer Jo Siffert documented in OnTheDash's reference guide. (OnTheDash) The manual-wind Heuer Autavia 2446C, Heuer Autavia 2446T and Heuer Autavia 7763 have their own pages. No single reference covers the line's screen record; the appearance recorded here resolves the family only.
