James Cromwell is an American actor whose career runs from an Academy Award-nominated turn as kindly farmer Arthur Hoggett in Babe (1995) through L.A. Confidential (1997). He played eccentric professor George Sibley in the final season of Six Feet Under, and later returned as Hollywood producer Jonathan Siegel in Apple TV+'s Sugar (2024), earning an Emmy nomination.
