Hall as uptight middle son David, and Frances Conroy as matriarch Ruth, opposite Lauren Ambrose, Freddy Rodriguez, Mathew St. Patrick and Rachel Griffiths. It premiered on 3 June 2001 and ran for five seasons and 63 episodes, ending on 21 August 2005.
