An American drama series created and produced by Alan Ball for HBO, following the Fisher family, who run a funeral home in Los Angeles, along with their friends and lovers. (Wikipedia) The series stars Peter Krause as eldest son Nate, Michael C. Hall as uptight middle son David, and Frances Conroy as matriarch Ruth, opposite Lauren Ambrose, Freddy Rodriguez, Mathew St. Patrick and Rachel Griffiths. It premiered on 3 June 2001 and ran for five seasons and 63 episodes, ending on 21 August 2005.
