Jamie Lee Curtis (born 1958, Santa Monica, California) is an American actress who arrived as Laurie Strode in John Carpenter's Halloween in 1978 and has returned to the role across five decades, then proved an equally deft comic lead as the double-crossing Wanda Gershwitz in A Fish Called Wanda and Helen Tasker in True Lies.
