Peter Vaughan (born Peter Ewart Ohm, 4 April 1923 – 6 December 2016) was an English character actor whose seven-decade career ran from repertory theatre to a BAFTA-nominated turn in Our Friends in the North (1996). He is best remembered as prison boss "Genial" Harry Grout in the sitcom Porridge (1975–1979) and closed his career as Maester Aemon in Game of Thrones (2011–2015). (Wikipedia)
