Doctor-X: Surgeon Michiko Daimon (ドクターX 〜外科医・大門未知子〜) is TV Asahi's long-running medical drama, premiering in October 2012 and running seven seasons through 2021 before closing the franchise with the 2024 theatrical film. Ryoko Yonekura stars as Michiko Daimon, an unaffiliated freelance surgeon who moves between hospitals rather than climbing any one institution's hierarchy, taking on the operations staff surgeons refuse and closing every episode with her catchphrase: "I never fail." The show pairs that structure, an outsider cutting through medical-establishment politics case by case, with Daimon's own flamboyant wardrobe and manner, deliberately at odds with a surgeon's usual buttoned-down image. - Cartier Ballon Bleu
- Worn by Ryoko Yonekura as Michiko Daimon. Daimon wears a steel Cartier Ballon Bleu through the first season, given a several-second close-up in the second episode that Montres de Luxe calls clear product placement; the outlet also notes the character switches to a Cartier Tank Anglaise from season two onward, so this record covers season one only.
