The Usual Suspects, directed by Bryan Singer from Christopher McQuarrie's Academy Award-winning screenplay, was released by Gramercy Pictures in August 1995. Five criminals thrown together in a police lineup are drawn into a job for the unseen Keyser Söze, the story told in flashback by Kevin Spacey's Verbal Kint under interrogation. Gabriel Byrne plays Dean Keaton, the corrupt former policeman trying to go straight, alongside Benicio del Toro, Stephen Baldwin, and Kevin Pollak. (IMDb)
Watches
- Rolex Submariner
- Worn by Gabriel Byrne as Dean Keaton. Montres de Luxe identifies Keaton's watch as a steel Rolex Submariner and goes no further. (Montres de Luxe) Rolex Magazine reads it as the Submariner Date reference 16610, which would be the current steel reference when the film shot; that is a plausible reading and is recorded here attributed, but a 1995 transfer will not resolve the cues that separate a 16610 from its neighbours, so the row stays at the line. (Rolex Magazine) A Submariner is a pointed piece of costume on this character: the one expensive object on a man insisting he has left the business, and the sort of watch a policeman is not supposed to be able to afford.Scene image neededSubmit a scene still!
