Benicio del Toro, born in 1967, is a Puerto Rican actor who broke through as an unintelligible crook in The Usual Suspects. He won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for Traffic and has received the Best Actor prizes at the Berlin and Cannes film festivals, with further credits in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Snatch.
