Billions

A complex drama about power politics in the world of New York high finance. (IMDb) Created by Brian Koppelman, David Levien and Andrew Ross Sorkin and drawing on real federal prosecutions of financial crime, the Showtime drama premiered on 17 January 2016 and ran seven seasons and 84 episodes to its finale on 29 October 2023. Damian Lewis plays hedge fund manager Bobby "Axe" Axelrod against Paul Giamatti as US Attorney Chuck Rhoades, with Maggie Siff as the performance coach Wendy Rhoades caught between them, David Costabile as Mike "Wags" Wagner and Asia Kate Dillon as Taylor Mason; Corey Stoll's Mike Prince takes over as Axelrod's opposite number in the later seasons.
