Watches
- Casio A168W-1
- Worn by Damson Idris as Franklin Saint. Franklin's watch is the silver-tone Casio A168 (sold in the United States as the A168WA-1), a thin steel-braceleted digital with an electroluminescent backlight, documented on his wrist into the final season (S06E03) and clearly legible in FX's publicity photography. It reads as exactly the watch a sharp South Central teenager would buy with his first spare $25, which is also the problem: the series opens in 1983 and the A168 did not exist until 1995, its EL backlight built on technology Casio only commercialized in the mid-1990s, so the era's most period-plausible-looking watch is a twelve-year anachronism. The costume choice works because Casio's design language barely moved in the interim. (WatchReel, Spotern)
- Rolex Day-Date
- Worn by Alon Abutbul as Avi Drexler. Montres de Luxe identifies the watch worn by Avi Drexler, the Israeli arms-and-narcotics trafficker who becomes one of Franklin Saint's suppliers, as a yellow-gold Rolex Day-Date; no reference or episode is given. The flagship "President" line reads as an obvious marker of established wealth well above the level of the street operation Franklin is still building. - Cartier Santos
- Worn by Damson Idris as Franklin Saint. Franklin also appears in a season-five episode wearing a steel Cartier Santos, per Montres de Luxe, which describes its imposing, contemporary proportions without naming a reference; the site flags it as a second anachronism alongside the A168, since the larger-cased Santos generation the frame shows only dates to Cartier's later relaunch of the line, well after the show's 1983 opening.
