Rick's watch through most of the run is a silver-dial quartz Kenneth Cole New York on a five-link steel bracelet, documented by the spotting record from at least season 3 (S03E09) through the season 8 premiere and identified as the KC3584. The bracelet architecture and pale sunray dial are legible on screen; the dial text is not, so the exact reference rests on the converging spotting and collector record rather than a readable frame, the same convergence that turned this discontinued mall-brand watch into a sought-after "Rick Grimes watch" among fans. A $60 fashion quartz that keeps running years into the end of the world is quietly one of the show's better props: a deputy's watch, not a survivalist's. IWC Da Vinci

Worn by Lennie James as Morgan Jones. In the pilot, "Days Gone Bye", the survivor Morgan Jones who takes Rick in and explains the walkers wears a gold watch in a barrel-shaped case on his right wrist, which Quill & Pad's Elizabeth Doerr reads as what "seems to me to be" an IWC Da Vinci Automatic in a gold tonneau case, "a shape that is hard to miss." The identification is the writer's own impression from the case form: the frame shows the gold case and bracelet and resolves no dial text, so it stays probable and at the line level, with no reference, the tonneau generation of 2007 to 2017 being the one whose silhouette the reading rests on. Hershel Greene's pocket watch

Worn by Scott Wilson as Hershel Greene. In "Judge, Jury, Executioner" (season 2, episode 11) Hershel Greene gives Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) his open-face pocket watch as a welcome-to-the-family token, telling him his grandfather brought it over from Ireland and passed it to his father and then to him; Quill & Pad, the one horology outlet to examine it, could not decipher the make, suggesting only that the dial might read "Neuchâtel", and the frames show a worn silver-toned case with a fluted crown, a white dial with black Arabic numerals, sub-seconds at six and an illegible cursive line under the twelve. From season 3 the watch is pictured beside Yeun's name in the opening titles, its hands running unnaturally fast, and Glenn makes a point of taking it with him when the group flees in season 4. Hershel Greene's pocket watch

Worn by Steven Yeun as Glenn Rhee. The watch Hershel hands over in season 2 is Glenn's for the rest of his run, and the hero prop sold at Heritage Auctions' The Walking Dead Universe sale (October 2025, lot 11102) as "Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun), Hero Pocket Watch": "Original Hero pocket watch with a brushed metal pendant, bow, and case body, measuring 3\" x 2\"", from which "The glass was removed from the bezel during production to reduce the chance of glare when filming the watch face", the body "expertly studio distressed and weathered". The essay traces it as "Gifted to Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) by Hershel Greene (Scott Wilson) as a wedding gift in Season 2, Episode 11, 'Judge, Jury, and Executioner,'" and "carried throughout the series by Glenn and later Maggie Rhee (Lauren Cohan) as a memento", with oxidation to the crown from wear. Removing the crystal explains why the dial reads so cleanly in the opening titles, and it means the on-screen watch never had the glare a real crystal throws; the lot names no maker, which leaves the cursive line under the twelve as illegible as the frames have it.
