VIVANT is a 2023 TBS "Nichiyou Gekijo" (Sunday drama) spy thriller starring Masato Sakai as Yusuke Nogi, a Japanese trading-company employee sent to the fictional Balkan Republic to recover a mistakenly wired $90 million payment, who is drawn into the mystery of a shadowy organization called "Tent" and his own family's hidden past; Hiroshi Abe, Fumi Nikaido, and Tori Matsuzaka co-star. Seiko produced a 300-piece black-and-red chronograph through its corporate Original Watch Production Service to mark the drama's second season, its dial layering the Nogi family crest over the "Tent" organization's own hexagonal emblem and, on the six-o'clock subdial, a mark for the "Bekkan" (Separate Unit) introduced in season two. Grand Seiko Sport Collection Spring Drive GMT

Worn by Hiroshi Abe as Mamoru Nozaki. Japanese drama-fashion site Arekiru (drama-tv-fashion.com) identifies the watch Public Security officer Nozaki wears with his suit in episode 8 of the first season, in the scene where he calls at Nogi's home, as a Grand Seiko Sport Collection Spring Drive GMT: a steel sports watch with a rotating 24-hour bezel and the glide-motion seconds hand of the 9R66 movement. Arekiru names the line but no reference. Konta Watch Blog's post on the second season identifies a different Grand Seiko on Nozaki, the Evolution 9 Spring Drive diver SLGA023, carried in its own row below; the first-season still on this row shows a slimmer bezel than that diver's. Konta Watch Blog's first-season post, published in August 2023, agrees on the line and names the Master Shop limited Spring Drive GMT, Ref. SBGE201. Grand Seiko Evolution 9 Spring Drive SLGA023

Worn by Hiroshi Abe as Mamoru Nozaki. For the second season, Konta Watch Blog identifies the watch Nozaki wears with his suit as the Grand Seiko Evolution 9 Spring Drive 5 Days diver "Ushio", Ref. SLGA023, the bright-titanium 200 m diver with a blue wave-pattern dial and a blue ceramic bezel. TBS's stills from episodes 15 and 16 show a steel-toned bracelet diver with a dark dial, luminous markers and a dark rotating bezel on his left wrist at a restaurant table and in an office meeting; the dial reads dark rather than blue at that size, so the reference rests on the blog. Grand Seiko Evolution 9 Spring Drive SLGA009

For the second season, which began on 19 July 2026, Arekiru identifies the steel watch Nogi wears with his suit in the scenes where he reports to the Marubishi trading house as the Grand Seiko Evolution 9 SLGA009, the 40 mm Spring Drive 5 Days with the white "birch bark" textured dial and blued seconds hand. Konta Watch Blog independently identifies the same white-birch-dial Evolution 9 on Sakai in the second season and cites the same reference.
