The Cartier Tank Française is the Tank Cartier launched in 1996, the first in the line drawn around a fully integrated metal bracelet. Its brancards run unbroken into pointed links, and the case is squarer than the Louis Cartier Tank, keeping Roman numerals, blued sword hands and a blue-cabochon crown. The model has always spanned several sizes, metals and movements: the small steel quartz W51008Q3 pictured runs calibre 057, while the largest time-only versions are mechanical, so no single reference describes the line.
