Omega Constellation C
More actions
The Omega Constellation "C-shape", collectors' shorthand for "Constellation C," is a sub-line of Omega's chronometer-certified Constellation family distinguished by an elongated, C-profiled case that reads larger on the wrist than the earlier "pie-pan" Constellations despite a similar diameter. Gerald Genta designed the case in 1964, his first major watch commission before he went on to define the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and Patek Philippe Nautilus, and Omega produced it from 1964 to 1978 on the calibre 564 and its successors. (Omega Constellation Collectors) Jackroad's costume-loan archive credits an example, without a specific reference, to Osamu Mukai's banker Kaido Akira in the drama Akira and Akira. (Jackroad)
