The Omega Speedmaster 38 is Omega's smaller-cased, self-winding companion to the manual-wind Moonwatch, descended from the Speedmaster Reduced line Omega launched in 1988 and continued today as its own "Speedmaster 38" main collection. The line runs Omega's Co-Axial calibre 3330, a self-winding chronometer chronograph movement beating at 4 Hz with roughly 52 hours of reserve, in steel, two-tone, and precious-metal cases such as the Sedna and Moonshine gold alloys. Dial and bezel options span black, silver, and white mother-of-pearl finishes, several set with diamonds on the bezel and subdials, so a sighting identified only to the 38 mm nameplate cannot be pinned to a single reference.
