The red-jacket Lupin: the second and longest-running television series, 155 episodes produced by Tokyo Movie Shinsha and aired on Nippon Television from October 1977 to October 1980. Yasuo Yamada again voices the master thief alongside Kiyoshi Kobayashi's Jigen, Makio Inoue's Goemon, Eiko Masuyama's Fujiko and Gorō Naya's Zenigata; the series' freewheeling caper-of-the-week format made it the franchise's defining international export, and its gadget-happy props gave Lupin some of anime's earliest loving depictions of period watches. Omega Chrono-Quartz

In the two-part 007 homage "The Lupin Who Loved Me" (episodes 50-51), Lupin's wrist carries an Omega Chrono-Quartz, the 1976 Montreal Olympics hybrid, drawn with its unmistakable twin analog-digital layout and dial text legible as CHRONO-QUARTZ (frames at 05:23 and 05:11 of the respective parts). The fiction adds gadget functions the real watch never had, a communicator line to Jigen and a tracker following Fujiko's beacon, a classic Lupin move of layering spy hardware on a real period reference.
