A Morning of Farewell (いのちの停車場) is a 2021 Japanese drama based on the novel by practicing physician Kyoko Minami. Sayuri Yoshinaga stars as Sawako Shiraishi, an emergency-room doctor in Tokyo who returns to her father's home in Kanazawa and takes a post at the Mahoroba home-care clinic after her own career reaches a breaking point. Tori Matsuzaka plays Seiji Noro, a young colleague at the clinic who works alongside Sawako while struggling to live up to his family's expectations and to fully face the mortality his patients confront daily. Izuru Narushima directed the film, which addresses home medical care, end-of-life decisions, and dignified death in an aging Japan; Toei released it theatrically on 21 May 2021. (Wikipedia)
