Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre

Elite spy Orson Fortune recruits a movie star to help him stop the sale of a new weapons technology. Directed by Guy Ritchie and released in 2023, it pairs Jason Statham's Fortune with Aubrey Plaza, Bugzy Malone and Cary Elwes on a freelance intelligence team, using Josh Hartnett's pampered actor Danny Francesco as bait to get close to Hugh Grant's arms broker Greg Simmonds. The film runs on tailoring and expensive props, and the watches split cleanly along those lines: two Panerais for the operator, a gold Patek for the movie star, a military chronograph for the muscle. Worn by Jason Statham as Orson Fortune. Watch-ID identifies the Submersible Carbotech PAM01616 from a watch-visible image in which the blue ribbed strap and its symbol are clear. The image's place in the production is unresolved: matching it against a complete 3,415-frame capture of the theatrical cut finds no corresponding frame, and the film's two beanie sequences are both night scenes where this one is daylight, so it may be a unit still, publicity photography or a deleted scene rather than the commando sequence it was previously described as.
