The Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean is the deep-diving branch of the Seamaster line, launched in 2005 with 600 m of water resistance to sit above the 300 m Seamaster Diver as Omega's more serious tool diver. Its look borrows from Omega's 1950s and 1960s divers (broad arrow hand, a heavily lumed dive bezel), and the collection has run through several generations in a range of case sizes and materials. Reference 215.30.40.20.01.001 is the 39.5 mm steel version, with a black dial and a black ceramic bezel carrying a Liquidmetal diving scale, a helium escape valve, and the Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibre 8800, certified by METAS against magnetic fields above 15,000 gauss and good for a 55-hour reserve.
