Richard Hammond is an English broadcaster and motoring journalist born in 1969. He presented Top Gear from 2002 to 2015 alongside Jeremy Clarkson and James May, then the three moved to Amazon for The Grand Tour. He survived a 288 mph dragster crash in 2006 and a second serious crash filming in Switzerland in 2017, and has since built the classic-car restoration business behind Richard Hammond's Workshop.
