Worn by Patrick Dempsey as Derek Shepherd. Derek Shepherd, the neurosurgeon Dempsey played from the pilot through season 11, wears a steel chronograph on an integrated bracelet that watch-spotting coverage identifies as the 44 mm Laureato EVO3 chronograph, reference 80180, a descendant of the octagonal-bezel sports watch Girard-Perregaux launched in 1975, one year before Patek Philippe's Nautilus. (WatchReel) The identification is probable rather than confirmed: the silver multi-register dial, protruding pushers, and integrated steel bracelet fit the EVO3, but no frame resolves the bezel geometry or dial text, and at least one viewer read the same wrist as a Rolex Daytona. Worn by Patrick Dempsey as Derek Shepherd. Shepherd also wears a large steel chronograph on a dark leather strap that spotting coverage identifies as Girard-Perregaux's ww.tc chronograph: "world wide time control," a world timer whose city ring reads all 24 time zones at once. (WatchReel) A WatchUSeek viewer independently suggested the same model for the multi-register chronograph Shepherd wears on a dark strap in the first episodes of season one. (WatchUSeek) The reference stays unresolved: WatchReel names the steel 49805-11, a case revision Girard-Perregaux introduced in 2006, while a season-one sighting predates it and fits the visually near-identical original reference 49800 of 2000.

Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Chronograph

Worn by Jesse Williams as Jackson Avery. Jackson Avery, the plastic surgeon from a dynasty of celebrated doctors whom Williams played as a regular from season 6 (2009) through season 17, wears a steel dive chronograph with a black bezel on a bracelet, identified by spotting coverage as the Seamaster Planet Ocean Chronograph, a Co-Axial, COSC-certified chronograph rated to 600 m. (WatchReel) The identification is probable at model level: the bezel and three-register layout fit the first-generation calibre 3313 Planet Ocean chronographs, but the frame resolves neither the reference nor the case size, and the spotting source's own entry is inconsistent, naming the 37.5 mm reference 222.30.38.50.01.001 while filing the watch as a Seamaster Diver 300M chronograph. Panerai Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days Automatic

Worn by Kevin McKidd as Owen Hunt. Owen Hunt, the Army trauma surgeon who arrives at Seattle Grace in season 5 (2008), wears a black-dial Panerai Luminor on a black leather strap. The Luminor descends from watches Panerai developed for the Italian Navy's combat divers. The date at 3 and small seconds at 9 identify a Luminor Marina, but sources split on the execution: WatchReel cites the steel Luminor Marina 1950 3 Days Automatic PAM00312, while WatchTime India describes a titanium case with a black sandwich dial, a mixed description, since the model's titanium execution, PAM00351, carries a tobacco-brown dial, and the imagery does not settle the case metal. IWC Big Pilot's Watch

Worn by Kevin McKidd as Dr. Owen Hunt. Forumamontres members following the series on TF1 in spring 2013 saw Owen Hunt's Panerai give way to an IWC. On 26 April Xzf thought he had seen an IWC pilot's watch on Dr Hunt and wondered whether the brand had a placement deal with the production; when new episodes began on 29 May magicrikk asked whether the red-haired doctor's Panerai of the previous season had become an IWC Big Pilot, Mulder74114 had the same impression and joked that three of the doctors seemed to pass the Big Pilot around, and il_drago and guillaume140 confirmed it. Five members agree on the Big Pilot; none posts a frame or names an episode. IWC Da Vinci Chronograph

Worn by Patrick Dempsey as Derek Shepherd. The morning after TF1's 9 March 2011 episodes, koda38 reported that Dr Shepherd, Docteur Mamour to French viewers, wore an IWC Da Vinci chronograph in the Laureus edition and praised its presence on screen; Big K agreed and found the tonneau case far too big for the actor's wrist.
