Industry

A group of young graduates compete for a handful of permanent positions at the London investment bank Pierpoint & Co, before the show widens in later seasons to the broader UK financial sector. (Wikipedia) Created by Mickey Down and Konrad Kay for HBO and the BBC, the drama premiered in November 2020 and has drawn some of the strongest reviews of any prestige series from its third season onward. Otto Mostyn, an old-money asset manager and Harper's former Oxford classmate, is played by Roger Barclay from the third season, alongside Ken Leung as Eric Tao, the fiery CPS managing director at Pierpoint who takes protagonist Harper under his wing.

Costume designer Laura Smith, in the same interview describing Otto Mostyn's Cartier Santos, says Harper is a habitual mimic of the people around her and that the wardrobe department gave her a Cartier watch of her own to reflect it: "I really wanted to make sure that if Yasmin had a Cartier watch, then Harper had one at some point later in the season." Rolex Datejust

Worn by Kit Harington as Henry Muck. Season four. In episode 2, "The Commander and The Grey Lady" (January 18, 2026), Yasmin gives Henry his late father Reginald's Rolex Datejust for his 40th birthday, found in a cabinet and serviced, engraved "RM" on the caseback; it is on his wrist, ticking, in the pub scene with "The Commander". Costume designer Laura Smith told British GQ the watch was written into the script by Mickey Down and Konrad Kay, who wanted a Datejust or Day-Date old enough to be an heirloom, and that she found a 1974 Datejust on a leather strap with a dealer she knew, 1974 being the year of Reginald's own 18th birthday. GQ's season-four round-up adds that Henry is wearing the heirloom in his final confrontation with Whitney in the finale. Worn by Max Minghella as Whitney Halberstram. Season four. GQ reports a TAG Heuer Monaco on Whitney's wrist later in the season, worn when he first meets Harper, reading the McQueen-coded chronograph against a character whose every identity is undefined; costume designer Laura Smith describes his choices as "polished but unremarkable, solid but dynamic", built so that he "could hide in plain sight". Rolex Sea-Dweller

Costume designer Laura Smith told British GQ that "Rishi wears a Rolex Sea-Dweller 2001 that was meant to be purchased with his first compensation package", its date function "invested with the idea that it was bought to commemorate a moment in Rishi's life at Pierpoint", alongside a TAG Heuer Connected; the watch vanishes from his wrist whenever he is "really up to no good", and British GQ's season-four round-up records that he gave it away to a creditor and now wears a generic Tudor-or-Rolex lookalike.
