The Best Partner (2019)

From IMWDb
The Best Partner

The Best Partner (精英律师, literally "Elite Lawyer") is a 45-episode Chinese legal drama that aired on Beijing TV and Dragon TV from December 20, 2019. Jin Dong plays Luo Bin, a top-billing, case-obsessed senior partner at Panorama Law Firm, opposite Lan Yingying as Dai Xi, an idealistic law-school dropout who becomes his assistant and eventual equal. Tian Yu plays He Sai, a fellow lawyer whose rivalry with Luo Bin runs alongside his own rise to senior partner. Luo Bin's own real-life reputation as a watch collector fed directly into the character's wardrobe: several of the pieces he wears on screen are reportedly his personal collection. (IMDb)

Watches

Patek Philippe 5204P
Worn by Jin Dong as Luo Bin. Two xbiao.com articles on the drama both name this platinum split-seconds perpetual calendar chronograph as the watch Luo Bin wears most often, at its then-official domestic price of roughly ¥2,240,000–2,306,000. A third-domain post on post.smzdm.com repeats the same figure and near-identical phrasing to the first xbiao.com article, which reads as syndication of that piece rather than independent confirmation, so the identification is treated as effectively single-sourced and capped at medium confidence despite its multi-domain appearance. Patek Philippe Nautilus 5712R
Worn by Jin Dong as Luo Bin. The same two xbiao.com articles name this rose-gold Nautilus, ref. 5712/1R-001, as Luo Bin's second-most-worn watch, describing it as one of the character's hallmark pairings with tailored suits. Both articles independently describe the character also wearing the steel time-and-date Nautilus 5711/1A as its more casual counterpart. Effectively single-sourced (see the 5204P note above for the syndication caveat), medium confidence. (Xbiao; Xbiao)

Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711
Worn by Jin Dong as Luo Bin. Luo Bin's steel three-hand Nautilus, ref. 5711/1A, worn as the workwear counterpart to his rose-gold 5712R and switched, per xbiao.com, for a leather-jacket-friendly Aquanaut whenever the character leaves the office in casual dress. Effectively single-sourced, medium confidence. (Xbiao; Xbiao)

Zenith DEFY El Primero 21
Worn by Jin Dong as Luo Bin. xbiao.com's first article on the drama describes a single "exception" to Luo Bin's otherwise all-Patek rotation: a skeleton-dial chronograph in a gold case, rarely worn and, in the author's own assessment, unfashionable next to the character's Nautilus and 5204P. A second xbiao.com article instead names two non-Patek watches on the character, a Flagship-series El Primero open-heart chronograph and, separately, a rose-gold DEFY El Primero 21; the two articles do not agree on how many pieces this covers. This record follows the second article's more specific identification of the rose-gold DEFY El Primero 21, a 1/100th-of-a-second chronograph. No reference is given by either source, and the identification is kept at model level. (Xbiao; Xbiao)

Rolex Cellini 50509
Worn by Tian Yu as He Sai. xbiao.com describes this white-gold Cellini, ref. 50509, priced around ¥110,000–119,000 domestically, as He Sai's watch earlier in the drama, before his promotion to senior partner. Single-sourced, medium confidence. (Xbiao; Xbiao)

Patek Philippe Gondolo 5109
Worn by Tian Yu as He Sai. After He Sai is quietly promised senior partnership, he takes out this rectangular Gondolo, ref. 5109, to celebrate, in a scene with several close-up shots per xbiao.com. Both cited articles flag that the drama's example carries a black dial, a configuration neither could match to any publicly catalogued 5109 execution (yellow gold/white dial, rose gold/rose dial, or platinum/grey dial), leaving the exact configuration unresolved even though the reference itself is legible on screen. Single-sourced, medium confidence at reference level. (Xbiao; Xbiao)
