Worn by Jon Hamm as Don Draper. Christie's sold the screen-worn watch in 2015 with letters from watch provider Derek Dier and property master Ellen Freund, calling it the main watch worn by Draper in season five and dating the piece to around 1960. Its dial was repainted black with crosshairs before it went on screen, so the watch is not in factory configuration. A matching spare that never appeared went to the Smithsonian. Worn by Jessica Paré as Megan Draper. Watch supplier Derek Dier recounts that prop master Ellen Freund asked for a watch that would display "youth and modernity" for Megan Draper, so his team selected a Jules Jurgensen in white gold with small diamonds. Italian Watch Spotter independently corroborates the placement, describing an ellipse-shaped 14-karat white gold case with a diamond bezel. Neither source gives an episode or a catalog reference. Hamilton (unidentified model)

Worn by Marley Shelton as Kate. Watch supplier Derek Dier recounts a rushed request from prop master Ellen Freund for "a pink dial with diamond watch" for a season-six storyline in which Joan Holloway's Mary Kay-saleswoman friend wins the piece as a "top seller"; Dier says he found a Hamilton white gold and diamond watch and flew to the Los Angeles set to hand-color its dial and band the specific "Mary Kay pink" showrunner Matthew Weiner wanted, then fit it to the actress's wrist himself. He recalls later seeing "my pink dial Hamilton watch on the show, with Joan holding it up to the camera for almost 20 seconds." The storyline matches season six, episode four, "To Have and to Hold" (2013), in which Marley Shelton guest-stars as Joan's friend Kate, a Mary Kay representative; no spotting outlet independently corroborates the pink-dial detail, so this record rests on Dier's own account.
