Jean-Paul Belmondo (1933-2021) was a French actor who arrived as the face of the New Wave in Godard's Breathless and then spent the 1970s and 1980s as France's biggest commercial star, in Le Casse, Peur sur la ville, Le Guignolo and Le Professionnel. A trained boxer, he performed his own stunts well into his fifties, which is why his watches are so often visible: the wrist is usually doing something. (Wikipedia)
