Timex has built inexpensive quartz watches in very large volume for decades, and since 1992 has fitted many of them with Indiglo, an electroluminescent night-light that lifts the whole dial into a soft blue glow at the press of a button instead of relying on painted markers. The specific model here is not established. The watch pictured is from the Expedition outdoor line: a brushed stainless steel field case with a cream dial, black Arabic hours, an inner 24-hour scale, luminous baton hands and a date window at three o'clock, worn on a green fabric strap, with the dial printed for Indiglo and 50 m water resistance.
