1. Armitron Pro Sport 40/8209BLK — Willy's Wonderland ($24–30)
Nicolas Cage wears the Armitron 40/8209BLK as the silent Janitor in Willy's Wonderland. Its 49 mm resin case carries dual time, a countdown timer, chronograph and 100 m water resistance. Armitron lists it at $25; Kohl's had the same reference at $23.99 when checked.
2. Casio F-91W — Free Guy ($23)
The 38.2 × 35.2 mm Casio F-91W on Ryan Reynolds retains the compact three-pusher case Casio introduced in 1989. Its production architecture remains effectively unchanged from the film watch. Teddy Baldassarre's Casio history places it in the resin-watch lineage that began with the F-100.
3. Casio A158WA-1 — Everything Everywhere All at Once ($29–35)
The Casio A158WA-1 uses a plated resin case and folded-link bracelet rather than the F-91W's resin strap. On Ke Huy Quan as Waymond, the 33.2 mm case has the proportions and surface treatment of an inexpensive dress piece. Shown the production props, Hodinkee identified it as what appears to be the A158, though the near-identical A168 is indistinguishable at frame scale.
4. Casio CA-53W-1 — Whip It ($30)
The Casio CA-53W-1 on Elliot Page combines an eight-digit calculator and a four-column keypad in a 25 g resin case. The keypad supplies the reference-level cue in Whip It; the model has stayed in continuous production while more elaborate Databanks have come and gone.
5. Casio AE1200WH-1A — Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle ($25–35)
Kevin Hart wears the resin Casio AE1200WH-1A, recognizable by its world map, round digital sub-display and segmented LCD. The “Casio Royale” nickname is a play on Casino Royale rather than any Bond provenance; Hodinkee's early value-proposition essay helped fix that nickname in enthusiast culture.
$50–$110
6. Casio DW-290 — Mission: Impossible ($50–60)
Tom Cruise wears the Casio DW-290 during the Langley vault sequence. The faceted case, red accents, twin front screws and 200 m rating distinguish it from the G-Shocks with which it is often conflated. “Mission: Impossible watch” is collector shorthand, rather than an official model name.
7. Casio MDV106-1A Duro — Ambulance ($50–80)
The Casio MDV106-1A Duro on Yahya Abdul-Mateen II has a steel case, unidirectional bezel, screw-down crown and 200 m rating. Later MDV-107 and smaller MDV-10 variants share the broad Duro vocabulary without duplicating its marlin logo and full reference.
8. G-Shock DW5600E-1V — Five Nights at Freddy's ($45–60)
Josh Hutcherson wears the square Casio G-Shock DW5600E-1V. Current stock runs Casio's module 3229, and the near-identical 2024 DW-5600UE refresh sits beside it, so the case-back reference remains the reliable distinction.
9. Timex Expedition Scout T49961 — The Accountant 2 ($95)
Christian Wolff's Timex Expedition Scout is the exact T49961: 40 mm brass case, full Arabic track, arrow seconds hand, date and Indiglo. Timex still sells the reference for $95. The mineral crystal and 50 m rating suit a field-styled daily watch.
10. G-Shock GA2100-1A1 — The Covenant ($80–110)
The Casio G-Shock GA2100-1A1 on Antony Starr combines an octagonal bezel with Carbon Core Guard construction in an 11.8 mm case. The original black GA-2100 is the most restrained expression of the family that collectors quickly nicknamed the “CasiOak.”
$125–$200
11. Vostok Amphibia 420526 — The Life Aquatic ($125–150)
The Vostok Amphibia 420526 on Bill Murray is an automatic. Its pressure-assisted case sealing, acrylic crystal and deliberately loose bidirectional bezel preserve the Soviet Amphibia engineering brief. Reference 420526 is now sold as the “Zissou”; U.S. stock was intermittent at $129.95, with unworn examples around $125.
12. Nixon Siren A1211 — Detective Pikachu ($60–150)
The Nixon Siren A1211 is a compact 38 mm tide watch with a custom negative LCD and 100 m rating. Nixon's current Siren uses recycled ocean plastic and lists at $150, while the film's earlier A1211 reference appears below that on the secondary market. Check the case-back code if the exact film version is the objective.
13. Fossil Coachman CH2565 — Uncharted (around $125, discontinued)
The Fossil Coachman Chronograph CH2565 combines a 45 mm steel case, quartz chronograph and wide leather cuff. Discontinued now, the Coachman turns up around $125 or below. The complete suffix is necessary because Coachman executions vary in dial, strap and case finish.
14. Suunto Core All Black — The Equalizer ($199 sale; $219 list)
Robert McCall times his interventions on a Suunto Core All Black, reference SS014279010. The 49.1 mm instrument combines altimeter, barometer, compass and storm alarm without GPS or charging. Suunto listed it at $219 and offered it at $199 when checked; the platform was introduced in 2007.
15. Nixon Regulus — Terminator: Dark Fate ($200)
Sarah Connor's Nixon Regulus has a shock-protected digital module, dual chronographs, silent mode and 100 m rating. Nixon listed the family at $200; Dark Slate is the film color and stock varies, so confirm the color code rather than treating every black Regulus as equivalent.
$200–$500
16. Timex Marlin Sub-Dial TW2V62100 — The Accountant 2 ($200–310)
Wolff changes register with the Timex Marlin Sub-Dial TW2V62100: a 39 mm automatic with acrylic crystal, 50 m rating and a 24-hour subdial at nine. The reference is discontinued in the U.S. but remained available from overseas retailers between roughly $200 and $310. The black TW2V62100 must be separated from brown and silver companion references.
17. Seiko Prospex Solar SSC295 — The Meg ($200–350)
Ruby Rose wears the Seiko Prospex Solar SSC295, a black-ion 42 mm solar chronograph with alarm, dual time and an internal compass ring. Seiko has discontinued the V172-powered reference; remaining dealer stock and pre-owned examples sat below $350 when checked. Hardlex and a six-month power reserve make it a particularly Seiko answer to the multifunction field watch.
18. Swatch Q SS07Z100 — No Time to Die ($175–400 pre-owned)
The Swatch Q SS07Z100 was designed with costume designer Suttirat Anne Larlarb for Ben Whishaw's Q. The 42 mm Skin Irony launched at €200 in 2020; the discontinued film reference now trades across a wide $175–400 band, with full-set examples commanding more. Its transparent dial and red handset are the useful authenticity checks.
19. Tissot PR 100 T101.410.26.031.00 — The Spy Who Dumped Me (discontinued)
The Tissot PR100 worn by Sam Heughan is reference T101.410.26.031.00: a 39 mm Swiss quartz watch in stainless steel with a yellow gold PVD bezel, ETA's F06.111 caliber under sapphire, a silver dial with stick and dot indexes and a date window, and a brown leather strap rated to 100 m. Tissot has since discontinued it, so it now sells secondhand rather than at a counter price. Steel and sapphire set it apart from the resin instruments common in this price range.
20. Luminox Leatherback SEA Turtle XS.0301.L — Civil War ($350–475)
Wagner Moura wears the 39 mm Luminox Leatherback SEA Turtle, reference XS.0301.L. Its CARBONOX case weighs roughly 40 g, while tritium tubes provide constant low-light visibility without a button or charge. Exact 0301.L stock is sporadic; contemporary Leatherback variants list at $475 and the film reference has appeared below that through authorized and secondary sellers.
Buying notes
Eight of the twenty are Casios; the rest span ten other brands, two mechanical movements, solar quartz, tide and ABC instruments, chronographs, field watches and a conventional Swiss three-hander. “Under $500” describes the observed purchase price on 12 July 2026. For discontinued references, verify the case-back number, seller photographs and condition rather than relying on a listing title.
